Hi. Welcome to soaplab. Im Nisha; a pharmacist and your teacher today. Here ill be guiding you on how to make basic soaps.

Part 1: Introduction To Soap Making

If you are new; this video will explain whats the different ways to make soap. 

Mainly Melt and pour soap, cold process soap, and hot process soap.

In this video; you will be learning about the different types of soap base that are available.

Part 3: Making Basic Soap Using Melt & pour

In this video; ill be sharing with you the basic way of making melt and pour soap using only 3 ingredients! 

Its the most basic of the basic in soap making:) 

Ingredients used to make 1kg soap

1. SoapLab's Goats Milk Soap Base 1kg
2. 50g Any Fragrance Oil
3. 5g Soap Color Pigment 

Part 4: Making Basic Soap Using Cold Process Soap Method

In this video I’ll be sharing with you how to make cold process soap and how to handle lye in making soap. 

Always glove up and be in airy open area when mixing lye to avoid the fumes. 

Ingredients used to make 1kg soap

1. 300g Coconut Oil
2. 300g Olive Oil
3. 300g Palm Oil
4. 100g Castor Oil
5. 144g Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)
6. 188g Water
7. 5g Mica Soap Colour
8. 50g Fragrance or Essential Oil

Part 5: Making Fresh Milk Soap Using Cold Process Soap Method:

In this video I’ll be sharing with you how to add things that are fresh into your cold process soap. 

This is slightly more ‘advanced’ than the previous soap making, nevertheless less; it’s still beginner friendly.

Ingredients used to make 1kg fresh ingredients soap

1. 300g Coconut Oil
2. 300g Olive Oil
3. 300g Palm Oil
4. 100g Castor Oil
5. 144g Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)
6. 188g frozen fruits/ milk (without pulp/fiber)
7. 5g Mica Soap Colour
8. 50g Fragrance or Essential Oil

Next Level

Now that you know how to make the most basic soap; you can then ‘upgrade’ to making more colorful soap and adding in other extracts and herbs to make it more ‘intermediate’ level.
