Organic Certification For Cosmetics In Malaysia?

So many of you have messaged us and asked us if we have organic certification. 

So I thought of writing this blog post to address this. 

Now the thing is most of the time whenever you all ask for organic certification we will say that we don’t have it. 

Now the reason why I always say that we don’t have it is because in Malaysia there is no organic certification done in Malaysia.

What Organic Certification Really Is?

Now here’s the thing guys, (as far as I know) there is only two bodies that actually have organic certification. 

One is USDA; US Department of Agriculture, and also ECOCERT by Australian government. 

Now the thing is both of these is governed by their government only in their country. 

It doesn’t work outside of their country. (ie not in Malaysia). So because of this many people simply just claim that their ingredients is Ecocert Certified, or USDA certified and no one can verify this because the 'body' that governs this is not even in Malaysia!

How It Applies When You Are In Malaysia?

Now; a lot of our suppliers actually come from these countries as well and so they do have these certification. 

But the thing is when it comes to Malaysia when we repack it we cannot call it as organic anymore because somewhat the organic certification doesn’t work in Malaysia. 

Hence the reason I always say that we do not have organic certification in Malaysia or in our products.

Lets Compare It With Halal For Better Understanding

Now by right it’s exactly like how halal works. 

So if let’s say I were to buy a halal product and then after that I repack it in my facility that doesn’t have the halal certification, what’s going to happen is I cannot call the product as halal anymore. 

So that’s exactly how organic works as well.

Don't Over Pay For Something That Is Fake!

So I hope this clarifies whatever your query is. 

Just remember that there is no such thing as organic cosmetic ingredients in Malaysia. 

For pertanian things, for things like it’s for agriculture, for vegetables and all that, yes there is a body that governs it. 

But there is none for cosmetics. 

So please do make sure that do your due diligence before you buy. 

Don’t overbuy or overpay something just because it’s organic when actually it might be a fake organic. Its all just marketing..
