Got A Lot Of 'Order' But No Stock Because Manufacturers Are Slow

 

This is mainly a problem faced by businesses that are already doing really well.

So what happened was this long time friend-client (since 2017!) was talking to me and explaining to me how she needs to ‘pull breaks’ everytime for her product because she doesn’t have product stock😢

Her business was doing really well and she just learns all these new marketing techniques and applies it to her business and one day; some of her things went viral and sales were chiming in like every minute!

And 2 of her products; we were the manufacturers. So she spoke to us all (her manufacturers) asking us if we could produce stock for her daily.

The problem is; we cant commit; simply because we have other clients to service too! And our capacity is at the maximum level already!

We cant move to a ‘bigger’ place but based on experience that will take a yr to do that; she doesn’t have that much time; she had to fulfil her orders like yesterday.

And in panic; she started crying! And i felt sorry for her.

Its one thing not shipping out the orders; but its worst to lose this trust and reputation that will tarnish her brand if she didnt deliver.

So i started thinking about what i could do to help her; and this was the solution i can get:

Get SoapLab’s bases, mix your own extract color scent etc (i provide the recipe), they fill and shrink wrap and ship it!

You see when it comes to bases; soaplab can ship within 1-2 days. Infact if you could give us estimation how much u will need; we can even prepare before hand and can send same day delivery!

And so thats what she did! Its been almost a year; and she has consistently fulfilled her delivery order. Ever since then; whenever she comes up with her own product; she just gets the bases and asks me to create recipe for her:)
