Dont Buy SoapLab’s Soap Base if You Dont Have Sensitive Skin

Why SoapLab’s soap base so mahal one? In other shops can get rm10/kg but soaplab’s cheapest is rm25/kg😩

And this is one question that we get most of the time. 

And trust me; ive tried to lower to that; but we just cant🥲

Let me start from the beggining..

So when i started soaplab; i used to source for these soapbases from some supplier in Malaysia. 
At that time; buying in bulk; i could get it for rm5-6/kg, so i could sell it for Rm 10/kg; with a bit of margin to cover the fixed cost 

But; i came to realise early; that it wasnt suitable for my customer base. 

As a pharmacist; the customer that i catered to that time were people with sensitive skin or moms who have kids that have eczema and dry skin; 

and these bases unfortunately used alcohol as their diluents; so it was just worsening their skin conditions over time.

I tried to source for soapbases that were using sorbitol or glycerin as solvent but; because of alcohol being the cheaper solvent most glycerin soap base uses very little glycerin, and alcohol was their main solvent.
So i didnt have a choice but to create the bases from scratch. 

It took me nearly 6 months of trial and error before i finally got one thats semi transparent, doesnt sweat a lot; and was made with natural, sensitive skin safe ingredients.

As you can see; its not as crystal clear as the commercial soap base but boleh la. 
To get crystal clear i need to use alcohol that i refused to

So anyway; because of these properties and ingredients; i just couldnt lower my cost. 
And i refuse to compromise the ingredients just to lower the price because this is whats suitable for my customers.

And so; if you are looking for soapbase for suka2 or for door gift etc; soaplab’s soapbase is not suitable for you. 

But if you are looking to make soaps for babies, or for people who have dry skin, or sensitive skin, or just wanting a soap thats extra moisturising; then soaplab’s soap base is the best for this.
