Chinese New Year Inspired Facial Wash (How To Make in Malaysia)

Guess what?! It's going to be Chinese New Year soon :) With it being the first major festival for Malaysians this year (we celebrating everything right?) SoapLab decided that we need to have CNY themed recipes to bring in more of the festive spirit, luck and fortune. 

So for today, we'll be making a facial wash because cleansing is always Step 1 in your skincare routine. 

For this wash, we use lemongrass essential oil to bring in an oriental feeling plus its a great cleanser and stress reliever. Lemongrass Essential oil cleanses the skin and will remove any make up residue and dead skin, leaving only clean & glowing skin behind.

Next for a touch of floral, we add in Geranium Essential Oil to refresh and prevent any acne breakouts. It even helps clear up heat rash and acne scars ! 

The next ingredient to maintain clear fresh skin is allantoin powder which moisturises and prevents any dryness or itchiness. Let us know what you think about this recipe after trying!  

Ingredients: (makes 100g Facial Wash)

1. SoapLab’s Coconut Liquid Soap Base
2. Geranium Essential Oil 
3. Lemongrass Essential Oil 
4. Allantoin Powder 
5. Saffron Colour Pigment
6. Glycerin

5. If applying on face, avoid citrus based or sandalwood essential oil as Malaysian weather will cause your skin to be easily sun burnt. Wear sun protection if add these Essential oils.
