Soaping Problem: What Happens If Soap Batter Is Too Thick In CP Soap

I was browsing thru one of our older videos and i realized heres a problem our intern faced when they first started making soap.

The soap batter became too thick after lye was added!

And the culprit; was the essential oil/ fragrance oil that they used.

It was a eo that was not suitable for cp soap making (usually coz it was distilled/ extracted via alcohol and not pure)

So anyway; due to this the soap became thick very fast; making it difficult to pour into mold. And to make matters worst; they didnt ‘tap’ the air bubbles out = having air pockets when it was time to cut.

Kesimpulannya; always only use excipents that are cp soap friendly. When i first started soaplab; i used to get scents from local suppliers too and unfortunately they were all industrial grade= not suitable for skin/ cp soap.

If you are having this issue too; do contact us as all our fragrance and eo are cp soap friendly:)
