How To Make: Lavender Oatmeal Soap for Eczema

Hi all! Today we will be showing you how to make a mild, calming melt and pour soap.

The base we will be using are natural soap bases which are extremely mild and even suitable for sensitive and dry skin.

However, since this base does not contain any chemicals; it also lacks a lot of foam and bubble (in commercial soap these are from sodium laureate sulphate (SLS)). But hey! this base is so mild and natural you can actually use it for babies too!

In this recipe we use Natural Goats Milk base. Goats milk is rich in Selenium, which stops free radicals and other skin-damaging compounds before they can lead to wrinkles. It's similar to vitamin E and works together to protect your skin.

Lavender has a lot of great properties when used in skincare. When used in soaps, it gives a calming and spa-like after effect, leaving you calm, more focused and relaxed while being great for your skin.

Next we use oatmeal, that has been used for all kinds of skin conditions. Whether its acne or dry skin and eczema, oatmeal is used to calm, clean and moisturise the skin. It has saponins that help remove dirt from pores. It also has emollient properties (a quality that softens skin) just like lotions, which are great moisturisers
