How To Make: Face Mist (Merah Membara) 2018 Merdeka Day Special

In conjunction with Merdeka, we will be teaching you how to make the ‘Merah Membara’ refreshing face mist. 

The face mist uses a serum base which hydrates and nourishes the face. 

Add distilled water for further hydration and moisture. We also add distilled water so that the preparation is slightly more ‘watery’ and ‘sprayable’.

Next, add sage leaf essential oil. It has antiseptic properties and can also reduce inflammation on the face, like the ones caused by acne. 

Add fresh fruits fragrance oil for a refreshing tropical smell. Finally, add irredecent red mica which will give your face mist a hint of red. 

Dont worry your face wont get red! it just makes the product looks nice:-)

Duration:

Preparation Time : 5 minutes

Total Time : 10 minutes 

Ingredients Needed:

1. Distilled Water  
2. Hyaluronic Serum Base   
3. Sage Leaf Essential Oil 
4. Fresh Fruits Fragrance Oil 
5. Polysorbet 80 or polysorbet 20
6. Irredecent Red Mica
7. Liquid Germal Plus (Preservative)
8. Glycerin  
9. Rubbing Alcohol
10. Spray Bottle 

Equipments You Will Need:

1. Heat Resistant Containers
2. Spatula/ Stirer (Can Also be kitchen Spoon)
3. Weighing Scale (Digital)

(P/S: these are proper measurement that are tested. Its all by weight and using scales. 

We strongly disagree to using cups and spoons as measurement because every ingredients has different density and it can produce different results. Always use weight as measurement so that you produce a good quality and safe product. Skincare making is not like baking! it requires proper knowledge of ingredients you use!)

5. If applying on face, avoid citrus based or sandalwood essential oil as Malaysian weather will cause your skin to be easily sun burnt. Wear sun protection if add these Essential oils.
