Welcome back everyone! We’re still keeping with our CNY special theme, and today is inspired by the number 1 prosperity bringing fruit in the Chinese culture. The Pineapple! According to ABS-CBN News, the Chinese word for pineapple is literally “ong-lai” which means “fortune cones”.
We made this super easy for you to make too by choosing the melt and pour method. We use SoapLab’s transparent soap base to begin with. Next, get yourself some Pineapple Fragrance Oil…and just smell how good it is! Okay kidding, its for the soap of course.
To get the color combination we want, we will be using a few colors. Yellow- For the pineapple rings. Sparkle Gold and Synstar Red - for the base of the soap where the little pineapple rings are on. We also add some glycerin to ensure your skin remains moisturized while cleansing.
Once everything is done, just simply wait for it to cool and they will be ready to gift. But when you see how cute these are, you might just keep them for yourself ;)

Ingredients: (makes 6 x 50g soap)
- 350 SoapLab’s Transparent Soap Base
- 17.5g Cold Pineapple Fragrance Oil
- 2g Yellow Mica
- 5g Sparkle Gold Mica
- 5g Synstar Red Mica
- 24g Glycerin
- 10-20 sprays of Rubbing Alcohol
Materials:
- A pair of gloves
- A weighing scale
- Microwave / double boiler
- A kitchen knife
- 3 heat resistant mixing containers
- 3 spatula
- 1 pipette
- 1 6 cavity 50g silicon mold

- Using a kitchen knife, cut SoapLab’s Transparent Soap Base into small cubes. The smaller the cube, the faster it will melt.
- Place cubes into a heat resistant container and melt at 20 seconds interval. Check on soap constantly to avoid soap from getting burn.
- Once melted, using a pipette (optional) , add in Cold Pineapple Fragrance Oil into the melted soap. Then, mix everything with a spatula. Pour out 40g of melted soap into a separate container.
- Add premixed Yellow Mica into the 40g of melted soap and mix with a spatula.
- Pour soap into a mold. Spray with some rubbing alcohol and leave to dry.
- With the rest of the melted soap, split soap into 2 equal parts.
- In one of the container, add in Gold Mica that has been diluted with some glycerin. Mix with a spatula.
- And in the other container, add in premixed Synstar Red and mix.
- Pour soap mixtures simultaneously into the mold like so. Spray with rubbing alcohol to remove air bubbles and leave soap to harden (6-12 hours)
- While waiting, remove yellow soap from the mold.
- Using a normal kitchen knife, cut the soap in half.
- Using a small round cookie cutter, punch a hole in the middle of the soap.
- Again, using a kitchen knife, cut out small triangles at the sides of the soap, resembling a piece of pineapple! :p
- Tadaaaa! Like so.
- Melt some soap and place it in a disposable piping bag. Pipe some onto the pineapple and stick it on the soap. Leave soap to set for 30 minutes.
- Once soap has set, remove soap from the mold.
- And now soap is ready to be use!

- If applying on face, avoid citrus based or sandalwood essential oil as Malaysian weather will cause your skin to be easily sun burnt. Wear sun protection if add these Essential oils.
