Kurma & Delima Soap – Brightening & Anti-Aging DIY Cold Process Soap (Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore)

Hey everyone! This week, we’re diving into a soap inspired by two Ramadan favorites: kurma (dates) and delima (pomegranate). 

Not only are these fruits delicious, but they’re also packed with skin-loving benefits. Our Kurma & Delima Soap aims to harness these natural goodies to give your skin a treat.

Recipe

• 300g Coconut Oil

• 300g Olive Oil

• 300g Palm Oil

• 100g Castor Oil

• 144g Sodium Hydroxide

• 144g Distilled Water

• 144g Fresh Pomegranate Juice

• 15g Dates Extract

• 10g Violet Mica

• 10g Rose Red Mica

• 10g Neon Purple Mica

• 50g Grape Fragrance Oil

• Rubbing Alcohol – to spray

• Silicone Mould – 1kg

Why I Used What I Used

• Fresh Pomegranate Juice: Pomegranate is known for its antioxidant properties, which can help in reducing signs of aging and promoting a brighter complexion. It’s also been noted for its anti-inflammatory benefits, making it great for soothing the skin.  

• Dates Extract: Dates are rich in vitamins, minerals, and phenolic compounds, offering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Incorporating dates extract can enhance skin moisture and elasticity, making it beneficial for reducing dryness and improving skin texture.  

• Oil Mix Base (Coconut, Olive, Palm, Castor Oils): This blend ensures a balanced lather, providing both cleansing and moisturizing effects, leaving the skin feeling soft without stripping its natural oils.

• Violet, Rose Red, and Neon Purple Micas: These vibrant colors are reminiscent of the rich hues of pomegranate seeds, giving the soap an appealing and luxurious look.

• Grape Fragrance Oil: Adds a sweet and fruity aroma, complementing the natural scents of pomegranate and dates, making the bathing experience even more delightful.

• Rubbing Alcohol: Spraying the soap surface with rubbing alcohol helps to eliminate bubbles, ensuring a smooth and professional finish.
