Hari Raya Special Cold Process Soap: Bulan Dan Bintang Soap (Mini Online Class)

Since it’s still Raya week, today’s Mini DIY Class is all about this festive-looking Bulan & Bintang Soap. 

Inspired by the moon and star you always see on duit raya packets and Raya decor, this cold process soap is perfect for gifting or just to treat yourself during this season.

We used Lotus & Salt fragrance for a calm, clean scent—just nice for relaxing after all the Raya makan-makan. The green and yellow colours give it that full festive look, and of course, we added moon and star embeds to complete the theme.

Recipe:

• 300g Coconut Oil

• 300g Olive Oil

• 300g Palm Oil

• 100g Castor Oil

• 144g Sodium Hydroxide (Lye Flakes)

• 288g Water

• 25g Sparkle Green Mica

• 25g Yellow Mica

• 50g Lotus & Salt Fragrance Oil (Phthalate-Free by SoapLab Malaysia)

• Rubbing Alcohol – to spray

• Silicone Mould – 1kg

• Moon & Star Soap Embeds

Why I Used What I Used

Moon & Star Embeds – Looks festive and very “Raya mood”! Perfect as part of a themed gift.

Lotus & Salt Fragrance Oil – Smells fresh and clean. Great for daily use especially after visiting or cooking.

Oil Mix Base (Coconut, Olive, Palm & Castor) – A blend that lathers well and keeps skin soft.

Green & Yellow Mica – Raya-inspired colours. All SoapLab micas are naturally derived and safe for skin.

Rubbing Alcohol – To prevent bubbles and make sure the layers hold together nicely.
