How To Make: Rosemary & Star Anise Soap (Christmas Special)


Everywhere you go you will see the beautiful Christmas star perched on the Christmas trees! For this Christmas season, we will be giving you the recipe for the rosemary and star anise liquid soap. 

Firstly you will need the highly moisturizing coconut liquid soap base. It is extremely nourishing the skin and keeps the skin healthy by providing it with nutrients. Next add rosemary essential oil which tones the skin and prevents your skin from drying out. 

Finally, add dried tea leaves and star anise. They stimulate the skin by acting as a gentle exfoliator and helps the skin become soft and smooth. Merry Christmas!

Preparation Time : 5 minutes
Total Time : 10 minutes 

Equipments You Will Need:

  1. Heat Resistant Containers
  2. Spatula/ Stirrer (Can Also be kitchen Spoon)
  3. Weighing Scale (Digital)
  4. Heater (Induction cooker/ double boiler / microwave)

Ingredients: (makes 200g Soap)

  1. 200g SoapLab’s Coconut Liquid Soap Base
  2. 2g Rosemary Essential Oil
  3. 0.5g Dried Tea Leaves 
  4. 2 Star Anise 
  5. 10 sprays of Rubbing Alcohol
  6. 200 ml Pump Bottle 

How to Make (langkah-langkah)

Visual Guide  

  1. Pour 200g of SoapLab’s Coconut Liquid Soap Base into a container, ready to be mixed. 

  2. Add in 2g of Rosemary  Essential Oil into the liquid soap base. You may use a pipette to make it easier to measure.  

  3. Next, add in 0.5g of Dried Tea Leaves into the mixing container. 

  4. Drop 2 Star Anise into the mixing container 

  5. Mix liquid soap base, oil and dried  tea leaves with a whisk until everything is evenly disperse in the cleanser. 

  6. Spray Rubbing Alcohol inside the storage container. This will help sterilise the container and remove any existing contaminants and bacteria.

  7. Pour soap mixture into the storage container carefully to avoid any unwanted spillage.
  8. Screw on the pump head tightly. 

  9. Tadaa! It is ready to be enjoyed!

    P/S: For this recipe use your soap within 1 month as it will spoil fast. If you want it to last longer don't add the herbs.

  3. Make sure all your utensils and work surface is clean and sterilise as dirty area and utensils can reduce shelf life of scrub

  5. If applying on face, avoid citrus based or sandalwood essential oil as Malaysian weather will cause your skin to be easily sun burnt. Wear sun protection if add these Essential oils.
