How To Make Solid Shampoo For Scalp Protection

Tired of the flowery scents? We’ve got you fruity scent lovers covered! This solid shampoo is especially for you guys. And if you’ve already tried making the previous 2 recipes, this one’s going to be a breeze to make.

We use SoapLab’s solid shampoo base carefully made with a lot of testing, and trust us, you can use this every day without any hesitation. A special addition to this recipe is Rose Hip Oil.  This oil is extremely helpful in anti aging and protects scalp health. Do you know what that means? Beautiful hair of course. A healthy scalp is the most important part of having great hair. Same as a building, if a foundation is not there, surely it will collapse right?

Next to give the shampoo some color so it looks appealing, pink and white liquid pigment and that is all the items you will need. No more of that long list of unknown ingredients you see when you buy items in the store :)  Have fun!

Visual Guide

  1. Prepare Solid Shampoo Base. Cut 350g of SoapLab’s Solid Shampoo Base into little cubes, the smaller the cubes the faster it will melt.

  2. Place container in the microwave. Melt them at 20 seconds interval. Check during each intervals, this is to avoid your shampoo from getting burnt. Shampoo base may also be melted using an induction cooker or double boiler.

  3. Next, add in Fresh Fruits Fragrance Oil into shampoo mixture. You may use a pipette to ease measuring & dispensing. Then mix with a spatula.

  4. Next, also using a pipette, add in Rose Hip Oil.

  5. Add in Pink Liquid Colour Pigment. Then mix using a spatula until colour & oil has been dispersed evenly throughout the shampoo mixture.

  6. Next, grab your 6 cavity  Silicon Mold and Rubbing Alcohol. Spray the mold with alcohol in order to provide a sterile surface, ideal for your solid shampoo to sit in. Pour in shampoo mixture half full in each cavity.

  7. Add in White Liquid Colour Pigment into the remaining shampoo mixture. Mix again with a spatula.

  8. Pour in the remaining shampoo mixture into the same mold until everyone is full. Leave shampoo to harden for 24 to 48 hours.

  9. Once hardened, pull away mold from soap slowly. This is to preserve the crisp and sharp edges of the solid shampoo.

  10. Once ready, remove soap carefully from the mold one by one.

  11. Once all of them are out, they are ready to add a little fun in your shower with these solid shampoo (:
