Free Recipe Malaysia: Kunyit & Neem Melt and Pour Soap (Chicken Pox & Antibacterial soap)

Still in Local Herbal Week, today we’re making Honey & Neem Herbal Soap—inspired by traditional remedies that have been used for generations to help with skin infections, irritation, and even chickenpox!

This soap is packed with Neem Extract, which is known in Ayurvedic and Malay herbal medicine for its antibacterial and antiviral properties—people have been using neem leaves for chickenpox relief for years! 

Plus, we’re adding Turmeric Powder, another well-known ingredient in Indian and Malay healing practices for its ability to soothe itchy, irritated skin.

Combined with SoapLab’s Handmade Honey Soap Base, this soap is SLS-free, alcohol-free, and made with naturally derived ingredients, making it super gentle and moisturizing even for sensitive skin.

Recipe

1. 1kg SoapLab’s Handmade Honey Soap Base
2. 50g Honey Fragrance Oil
3. 5g Turmeric Powder
4. 5g Neem Extract
5. 5g Chromium Green Mica
6. 20g Glycerin
7. Rubbing Alcohol (to spray)
8. Silicone Mould

Why I Used What I Used

Neem Extract – A well-known antiviral and antibacterial ingredient in Malay and Ayurvedic medicine, traditionally used to help soothe skin infections like chickenpox and eczema.

Turmeric Powder – Used for generations in Indian and Malay healing, it helps reduce itchiness, redness, and skin irritation.

SoapLab’s Handmade Honey Soap Base – Sulphate-free, alcohol-free, and made with naturally derived ingredients, so it’s extra gentle and moisturizing.

Honey Fragrance Oil – Gives a sweet, natural scent that makes the soap feel warm and comforting.

Chromium Green Mica – Creates a natural green tint, tying back to the herbal, traditional theme.

Glycerin – Helps lock in moisture, preventing dry and flaky skin.

Rubbing Alcohol – Helps remove bubbles for a smooth finish.
