How To Make Hot Processed Soap In Malaysia: Fresh Green Apple Soap

DIY HP soap Malaysia

Hi all.
Today we will be making the next hot process soap; the green apple soap!
Just like mentioned yesterday here. HP soap is an extension of CP soap where you give it heat so that the soap 'cooks' and you don't have to wait for 4-6 weeks for the soap to harden like you will have to do in CP soap method.

The oils we use in the recipes are similar to those we use in the cold process soap and the method of mixing till trace is the same too. Only; if you were making CP after trace you will add your additives and finally pour into mould and use only after 4-6 weeks. In Hot process soap; after trace; you further cook the soap and once done and cooled down; you can use it right away!

hot process soap is perfect for those who cant wait long (like me!) and for someone who wants to make soap from scratch using oils. You can use this soap calculator to determine other oils and its calculation if you want to change this recipe.

Just like all the other products we made before; this has a name too: we decided to call it the simple fresh green apple hot process soap. Of course it doesn't look that simple! Just look at it! it's so gorgeous! isnt it??

  1. Place your distilled water in a heat resistant container, ready to be mix. Wear gloves & long sleeves to avoid backsplash getting in contact with exposed skin.

  2. Carefully, combine lye flakes with distilled water slowly. Mix using a whisk, and set aside.

  3. Turn your crock pot on high. Add in your Oil Mix into the crock pot.

  4. Once everything is melted, add in your Lye Water carefully into the pot.

  5. Using a hand blender, mix and blend the mixture until it reaches this trace. Once there, place the lid on and leave soap for 20 - 30 minutes.

  6. After half an hour, soap will thicken, especially around the edges of the crock pot.

  7. Using a spatula, break them up and mix everything together. Place the lid back on and leave the mixture again for another 20 - 30 minutes.

  8. After another 30 minutes, soap will continue to thicken and appears more transparent.

  9. Again, using a spatula, mix everything around and place the lid back on. Leave for another 20 - 30 minutes until soap has a gel like consistency.

  10. Once there, now the  mixture is ready for micas and fragrance oils! Remove pot from the heat and stir the mixture to allow it to cool down slightly.

  11. Add in Green Apple Fragrance Oil into the pot.

  12. Spray mold with rubbing alcohol. Scoop soap mixture and tap occasionally. Fill mold half full.

  13. In the pot with the remaining soap mixture, add in Green Mica that has been mixed with some Sweet Almond Oil. Mix again.

  14. Sprinkle on some Sparkle Bronze Mica on top of the soap.

  15. Add in the green soap mixture into the mold. Pat the soap down, sprinkle on some more Sparkle Bronze Mica on top and leave soap to cool & harden.

  16. Once ready, remove soap from the mold carefully.

  17. Using a normal kitchen knife, cut soap according to desired size.

  18. Tadaa! Soap is ready to be use :)
