Pineapple Jasmine Shampoo (for dry Hair)

For today's recipe we will be making Pineapple Jasmine Hair Shampoo

In this recipe we will be adding castor oil. Castor oil is said to be hair growth booster therefore if you have hair that is 'thinning; this will be a good shampoo for you. Since castor oil is also thick and viscous; it is suitable for hair that is dry or very dry hair. You can use this recipe daily if you have dry hair. For those with normal hair you can use this shampoo on alternate days.

Added together is also D-Panthenol and Glycerin. These are humectants and when added to shampoo; it works as moisturiser. Commercial shampoos adds silicones in it to coat you hair to give you a nice silky finish. However these silicones are not biodegradable and can be quite difficult to 'remove'. Over time it will build up on hair and can eventually It will then weigh your hair down. You will feel your hair very 'heavy' when use silicone on your hair.

The natural alternative to this would be glycerin and D-Panthenol therefore we are adding these instead of silicones in this shampoo.

Lets take a look on how to make this shampoo but before that; if you are new to this; please read these first:

  1. I’ve read that castille soap is alkaline and our hair needs a more acidic shampoo for best results. Would you recommend adding Apple cider vinegar or citric acid? Any advice on what to add to castille soap to bring down the ph?
